November is just around the corner, and our family are eagerly preparing for my daughter’s birthday brunch. As an event planner, I always want to celebrate my daughter’s birthday with style and creativity. This year, we have chosen a Garden Celebration theme, inspired by her love for nature and animals.
Out of all the colours, blue is her favourite, and one of the first words she learnt to pronounce. She loves everything that is blue, from the sky to her toys. So I decided the colour palette for the party will be mainly blue, with a subtle hint of yellow to add some contrast and brightness.

I've always loved to use dried flowers for decorations, they are not only long lasting and omni-seasonal, they also come in varieties of colours.
My idea of creating a garden party is to create small butches of flowers like how you can find in the forest. I begin the construction by placing the line flowers first to create the outline and geometric shape of the design. Form flowers added next develop the focal area, or focal point. Mass flowers added after the form flowers add visual weight to the arrangement. Filler flowers added last provide a finishing touch to the arrangement.

I wanted to create a colourful and lively arrangement with wild flowers and Craspedia Billy Button. I used the wild flowers in different colours to shape the outline and the size of the design. I added the Craspedia Billy Button to create some curves and contrast. They also served as the focal point of the arrangement with their bright yellow colour. For filler, I used some natural or white flowers, such as Fern, German Statice, and Yarrow Flower. I used a floral form as the base, and covered it with some artificial grass infill to make it look like real grass. I also added some light blue dyed moss on top for some extra layering.
The dress I’ve prepared for her is a gorgeous yellow tulle layered dress, with a dazzling white tulle cloak. She is only two years old, but she already has a girly personality. She smiles brightly when she sees the fairy tale style dress, and I know she will adore it.
To match the theme, we’ve planned to serve her favourite pizza as the main course, accompanied by a variety of delicious treats infused with butterfly pea powder, giving them a mesmerising blue hue. Butterfly pea is a natural plant that can turn food into a stunning blue colour without affecting the taste. It’s a fun and healthy way to add some colour to the party.
We can’t wait to create unforgettable memories surrounded by the enchanting ambiance of our Garden Celebration.
